Historical development of the district

As you can see from the photos of the historical town of Alghero, S. Augustine and Cunetta turn out to be the second area of \u200b\u200bexpansion after the crown that surrounds the old town.

The district begins its evolution with some buildings during 1919, takes shape in the postwar years and has a real estate boom in the 60-70 years, creating in effect an important area expansion, given the centrality and attendance, today presents the characteristics of potential coordinating center in the city of Alghero.

The neighborhood of St. Augustine (as show the data and historical sources) is to have developed in the early 40's, it dates back to this period the building of the first housing in Via S. Agostino and Via Giovanni XXIII.

During our tour of the neighborhood we were able to identify the different functions both buildings and open spaces, based on two broad categories: public and private, from which other categories were created as hybrids of these two main.
